Hi, and welcome to my page! My name is Stephanie Carrasco, but my students call me Mrs. Carrasco. Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a mom of four wonderful kids and a proud grandma to two sweet grandbabies who mean the world to me!
I started homeschooling my kids when they reached 5th grade. Funny enough, I used to think I’d never homeschool because I didn’t have the patience. But with lots of support and guidance, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made! My journey began because my son, who had an IEP, was struggling in school. I knew it was time to step in and help him myself. Now, all four of my kids have graduated and are doing great things with their lives!
I’ve been married to my husband for 25 years, and I’m so thankful for his love and all the sacrifices he’s made for our family.
If you want to know more about us and how we stay busy, take a look at my blog. Our family is always on the move, and we love it that way!
HOW IT WORKS
Now, let’s dive into math—that’s probably why you’re here! 😊 Here’s how my tutoring and instruction services work. I offer two options:
Option 1:
I work alongside your child to support the math curriculum you’ve chosen, helping them better understand key concepts. You would provide unfinished worksheets or topics they may be struggling with, and we would work through them together.
Option 2:
For students in 4th grade through Pre-Algebra, I use the Saxon Math curriculum to provide structured lessons. With this option, I create a monthly course schedule and teach new concepts once a week during a 45-minute to 1-hour session. We typically cover 3–5 lessons per session, depending on your child’s understanding. The course schedule includes lesson dates, homework assignments, and due dates to keep everything organized. All assignments are posted in Google Classroom, where students can complete work online or print worksheets if preferred.
For 3rd graders, all worksheets and concepts would need to be provided by you. I do not offer a full curriculum for this grade level; however, as described in Option 1, I can provide support and guidance using the materials you supply.
